Getting a custom logo design online for your website could be very expensive. Not only that you have to pay the expensive design fees anywhere between several hundred to several thousand dollars upfront, but also you have no idea how your logo will turn out to be. However that’s changing quickly. Business logo design contest is now gaining popularities and offers a more affordable way of getting a custom logo design.
48HoursLogo is an online logo contest website that I came across recently. The website boasts professional logo design for $79 and within 48 hours. The idea is quite simple.
1. You post your logo design requirement on the site and prepay your money to the website.
2. Logo designers will submit their logo designs based on your requirement. You can rank and comment on the designs to give feedbacks.
3. You pick a winning logo design and the designer gets paid.
All the contest and logo submission are open to view by the public on the website. I’m quite surprised by the quality of logos submitted for the price. Most of the logo contest on the site are priced around 100 dollars and each contest gets about 40 different designs submitted. So the logo clients do get a wide selection of designs to choose from.
I can see how such website really benefits the logo clients. But for the designers, they could spend hours designing, but if their logos are not chosen as the final winner, they don’t get paid anything. Certainly logo contest is not for every designer. However for new graphic designers, this is will be a good place to sharpen your design skills and make some extra cash.
