Creative and Inspiring Colored Pencil Sculptures by Jennifer Maestre
Posted on 19. Jan, 2012 by Ferman in Showcases
If someone is after creativity and uniqueness that person should not restrict himself to only one medium. Jennifer Maestre, Massachusetts-based artist, is that kind of person and internationally known for her unique pencil sculptures. Those sculptures are very creative and inspiring, she derives most of her inspiration from the form and texture of the sea urchin. To make the pencil sculptures, Jennifer makes use of a variety pencils, nails and stitching. She takes hundreds of pencils, cut them into 1-inch sections, drill a hole in each section (to turn them into beads), sharpen them all and sew them together.
Here i am showcasing some of colored pencil sculptures created by her, hope you will enjoy and share your feelings. To check more of her work, visit her online portfolio. If you have creative and unique portfolio too, share with us, I will showcase it on PelFusion.
