Last month i created a post on book landscapes of Guy Laramée, which PelFusion readers liked a lot. Today i am also featuring an artist, Patty Grazini, who created sculptures using book papers. All these sculptures are 12-18 inches tall and extremely detailed.

This number of art is produced from the tales of real individuals who committed crimes, as reported in the New York Times, between 1885-1915.

Throughout thirty years of practice, interdisciplinary artist Guy Laramée has created such varied and various disciplines as theater writing and directing, contemporary music composition, guitar design and building, singing, video, scenography, sculpture, installation, painting, and literature. He’s received greater than 30 arts grants or loans or financial loans and was granted the Canada Council’s Ernest S. Stauffer award for musical composition. His work remains presented in United States, Belgium, France, Germany, Europe, Japan, and Latin America. You can check his detailed interview on Yatzer.

Here i am showcasing his project, The Great Wall. In which he has created landscapes from books.

Rook Floro is Bangkok, Thailand, and presently lives in Birmingham, England. His art looks into ideas of human metamorphosis especially the strain between desiring change and appreciating yourself.

His Shadow sculpture/performance piece is inspired by Carl Jung’s psychological theory concerning the shadow. Which concerns with the repressed ideas, weakness, and desires of oneself that the conscious mind refuses to acknowledge. This piece signifies the artist’s own shadow and wish to be diverse and perfect.

Young-Deok Seo, South Korean artist, won many awards in sculpture competitions. In 2009, Young-Deok Seo got first position in National Undergraduate and Graduate Students Sculpture Competition. He spent one whole year moulding miles of motorcycle chains to build a 7.5 metres tall sculpture of a giant head.

Guido Daniele was born in Soverato (CZ – Italy) and now lives and works in Milan. Since 1986 he has been working and improving his personal usage of airbrush: he paints back-stages in different sizes (the biggest ones can be 400 square metres) for artistic and advertising pictures, tv commercials and tv programmes. He also creates trompe l’oeil, both in private houses and public buildings.

In 1990 he added a new artistic experience to his previous ones: using the body paintingtechnique he creates and paints models bodies for different situations such as advertising pictures and commercials, fashion events and exhibitions. Daniele was awarded the 2007 Hero of the Year by Animal Planet television network.
