Before i showcased beautiful examples of long exposure photography, today i compiled a list of double exposure photographs. Do tell us which one you liked the most by commenting.

If you’ve ever worked with stock photography you know how important the right piece can be. One single stock photo can make or break your web design with appearance and professionalism. DepositPhotos.com is one such place which really ups the ante for resolutions and pricing.

Below I’ve gone into brief details about the company and their inner workings. Whenever I am working hard at a business or design template I often find breaking to find the perfect centerpiece is a crucial aspect. This could be a vector graphic or set of icons, but the majority of times a stock photography piece will fit the bill nicely.

Getting your Account Setup

The signup process for a new account is lightning fast and doesn’t require much work at all. After entering in a few details you’re given the option of choosing a new account type. For their high definition stock images you’ll need to pay for credits and purchase.

They support many forms of payment including Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, MoneyBookers, and WebMoney. The pricing ranges from $10 to $100 per credit charge and will add into your overall billing for stock photos. As a separate option you may consider their subscription plans which will provide you the best pricing overall.

For instance as a 1-time fee $99 will get you 1 month (30 days) of 10 image downloads daily. This marks out to $0.33 per image which is some insane markdown! Alternatively you may consider a larger plan such as $850/6 months to get 35 image downloads a day. Consider what your business requirements are and see which plan would fit you best. Obviously there is also the option to do nothing and only pay for photos as you buy them. This works best for freelancers who only need stock photos every so often and not on a daily basis.

Quality Vectors

DepositPhotos is a huge website with an ever-growing population of catalog entries in their database. Not only will you find stock photos and professional shots, but their stock vectors collection is also fairly dynamic. Ranging from banners to text to buttons and icons, you are bound to find a few things you’ve been looking for.

Vector pricing is similar to photographs, although at times you may be paying a bit more for a whole package. This is because full vector art generally includes a PSD or AI file for Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, respectively. You’ll be able to edit the individual vectors and apply them onto your website with changes. And there’s no requirement for royalty charges or credibility to the original source.

Their vector shapes are also perfect for the average web designer. If you have spent any time building mockups in Photoshop you understand how difficult the process can be. If you can find time to organize yourself you may enjoy working with some of DepositPhotos’ vector backgrounds. These go perfect for any website template mockup and will code well into an HTML/CSS layout.

Additionally their vector files support some fantastic artists. You may get lucky and run into some examples of animals, plants, or scenery. These types of vector art can often replace stock photos entirely and become the focal point for your website. If you have the time peruse their gallery and see if anything jumps out at you.

Freebies!

We all love to get free stuff. It’s just built into our human nature, and especially as designers free content can really spice up our work. And DepositPhotos is no different offering free stock images to users who sign up for an account.

These do not cost anything additional to download and you can choose from a hefty collection of images. After you sign up for your account the trial page explains a bit in-detail for how their freebies system works. After signup visit their free photos page and click the button labeled “Get a Free Trial Subscription Now!”.

This brings up a new box where you’ll fill in some information and move onto the next step. If your account is accepted you can now download 5 free stock images every day for 7 days straight. Talk about one great deal! You may use these images in any project work exactly as if you had paid for them. This system offers a way for people who don’t have a lot of idle cash to experience their portfolio and consider purchasing in the near future.

Also as a repeat user their freebie collection updates constantly. Consider registering a few accounts for yourself, employees, and under your company branding. This gives you a few solutions for accessing their freebie gallery and possibly earning credits towards professional-quality downloads.

If you have ever used a stock photo site you’ll know how difficult it can be to find quality options. There are so many brands out there and you never know who to trust. I find it is all about personal preference and choosing the right corporation that works for you. Xabi Alonso plays a long ball out of the back up to Fernando Torres, and with the Liverpool striker streaking toward his net.

Valter Birsa caught the USA napping with a 30-yard left-footed strike that sizzled into Tim Howard’s net to open the scoring in its first round matchup. Three Americans were caught ball-watching on the play but there’s no questioning the quality of the finish.

Carlos Tevez pulled a goal out of nothing after he ran into two Mexican defenders and saw the ball rebound favorably off of Ricardo Osorio, allowing him to uncork a 25-yard shot that smashes into the top corner. Keeper Oscar Perez couldn’t even move on it.

4. On the mark

Wesley Sneijder sends a long ball out to the right flank, where Arjen Robben collects and drifts in toward the center. He beats three Slovakian defenders, and sends a left-footed thunderbolt past Jan Mucha to the lower right corner of the net. It was the goal of the game and should have been the game-winner.

3. Tight angle

Landon Donovan collects and races to the endline, taking goalkeeper Samir Handanovic on one-on-one. Donovan’s right footed blast from an acute angle blows past the Slovene netminder.

2. Rocket ship

Arugably the best goal of the tournament, Dutch defender Giovanni Van Bronckhorst collected the ball on the left and sent a 40-yard left-footed rocket into the far top corner, and he did it in the semifinals no less.

Kagiso Dikgacoi sent a ball from the center circle through the Mexico defense, allowing Siphiwe Tshabalala to touch it on, then uncork a left-footed rocket that blazed past keeper Oscar Perez and into the top left corner of the net. It was the first goal of the World Cup and gave South Africa hope that as hosts they could escape the group stages.
