A feed aggregator, which is also known as feed reader, is a client software or web application which aggregates syndicated web content such as news headlines, blogs, podcasts, and vlogs in a single location for easy viewing. There are lots of aggregators i will just mention top 11 feed readers and aggregators used by my blog readers.
These top 11 feed readers and aggregators are arranged according to my rss subscribers usage.
1. Feedfetcher: Google’s Feed Grabber
Up till now i have only 661 subscribers out of which 397 are using Feedfetcher, which makes it number one feed grabber.
2. Firefox Live Bookmarks
Live Bookmarks lets you view RSS news and blog headlines in the bookmarks toolbar or bookmarks menu. Only 47 subscribers are using it, means its no where in competition with Google’s Feedfetcher but still it is in second position.
3. Netvibes
Netvibe is in third position and is in competition with Firefox Live Bookmark as 30 subscribers are using it. I liked the UI of it, very easy to use.
4. NewsGator Online
Only 21 out of 661 subscribers are using it. I liked it’s clean user interface that makes it easy to arrange and track your favorite news feeds.
5. Mac OS X RSS Reader
14 subscribers are using Mac OS X built-in RSS reader. It’s used by the RSS screensaver, among other things.
6. Feed Fever
Fever reads your feeds and picks out the most frequently talked about links from a customizable time period. Only 9 subscribers are using it.
7. NetNewsWire
NetNewsWire is an easy-to-use RSS Web news reader for Mac OS X. Used by 8 subscribers only.
8. Bloglines
Bloglines is a web-based aggregator that makes it easy to keep up with your favorite blogs and newsfeeds. Seven subscribers preferred this one.
9. Universal Feed Parser
Mark Pilgrim’s fantastic open source RSS/Atom Python parser.

10. Vienna
Vienna is a freeware, open source RSS/Atom newsreader for the Mac OS X operating system.

11. FeedReader
FeedReader is a freeware Windows application that reads and displays RSS feeds.
